With 280,000 Australians currently living with dementia, increasing to 580,000 in the next 20 years, dementia is a disease that looks set to touch all our lives at some stage.
According to BrainyApp, developed by Alzheimer’s Australia, “Scientific evidence tells us that certain lifestyle and health behaviours, particularly around midlife, are associated with reduced risk of developing dementia in late life. In fact, the changes in the brain that lead to dementia can start when people are in their 30s and 40s.”
